At Walk In Watkins Park
Little Stars Campers feel lucky as they make their wishes while walking under the rainbow of vibrant colors to increase the likelihood of finding them as they evaluated every opportunity to have an exciting time, while walking with their imagination sparked to the highest peak to find avenues at the park to fill their inquiring minds.
Our Affordable Summer Program:
Little Stars Childcare Center’s summer program is focused around helping to build socialization skills, independence, and teaching our children how to respect each other. We also offer tutoring on academic skills such as reading or math. Our teachers organize the summer curriculum to reinforce and enrich personal development skills as well as help to insure students do not regress during the summer months in their academic progress. We monitor reading and math skills for growth by giving oral and written tests. These tests help to measure the proficiency of skills at the onset and at the culmination of our program.
One of the essential elements of our summer camp allows our boys and girls to go on many field trip excursions to compliment the weekly units of learning. We try to visit the places listed above to gain first hand experience with nature in real life. Teachers and children engage in discussions after each trip to talk about insects and animals that they have possibly never seen in the wild.
At the end of our camp, Little Stars ends the summer to invite parents to watch their children in a presentation that creates entertainment through drama, fashion, singing and recitals. Followed by a cookout for enjoyment and fun for all. Also included are games, a moon bounce, food and more for our children to enjoy with their friends and family.
Please feel free to call us for more information. Ask about enrollment, tuition and any other questions you may have.
Little Stars Visit To Bladensburg Waterfront Park
Kids enjoy pontoon boat ride with a Naturalist as they explored a historical tour of the Anacostia River. Little Campers were enlightened as they engaged in hands on experiences as they sat upon a sculpture of a bird carved from wood. Imaginative experiences heightened as our campers were given the opportunity to view visitors riding on canoes, fishing, and observing others walk the riverside trail to catch a glimpse of the beauty of nature during the summer months of July 2015.
